This is a Classic electronic and ambient album from 1983. After a break of several years from recording in her own right, (during which time she guested on albums by Vangelis, Wishbone Ash, Jon Anderson & Steve Howe) Claire Hamill returned to the music scene with this innovative album that saw contributions from Gary Numan, Dick Morrisey and many more.
“Touchpaper” featured such memorable songs as ‘First Night in New York’, ‘Denmark’, ‘The Moon is a Powerful Lover’ and ‘Ultra Violet Light’. The record would later be an influence on the Ambient Dance scene a decade later and ranks as one of Claire’s most unique works.
