I must admit to feeling rather proud, and honoured, that someone has taken the time and trouble to write a book about me. It’s the final piece in a jigsaw dreamed about many years ago.
The fact that the writer is Ray Coleman makes it all the more special.
Since our first meeting Ray has become a good friend, not only to me, but to my entire family. He has earned a great deal of respect; that is something of a rarity in the music business and elsewhere.
It is something he himself deserves to be proud of. Books to me are history and from history we must learn.
In reading this book I learnt things about myself that came as quite a surprise, some good, some not so good.
I read about Numan as though he was someone else, not me at all.
This is a book for anybody who‘s ever sat back and said, One day.
