No More Lies
Lyrics
No More Lies
(Single, from 'Automatic' album, 1988)
Everything, everything reminds me
Easily, you're walking out so easily
No goodbye's
Not even a tear for me
Now you cry
You'd like to have my company
But I'm not gonna call you again
I'm not gonna pick up the phone
No I'm not going through it again
You're not gonna leave me alone
No more lies
I don't need this anymore
I heard it all
And now I'm gonna close the door
Seems to me
Nothing comes that easily
Time to leave
You take it all and run from me
But I'm not gonna call you again
I'm not gonna pick up the phone
No I'm not going through it again
You're not gonna leave me alone
(Written by Sharpe / Numan)
Voices
(B-side, 'No More Lies' single, 1988)
I can see in your eyes
(You're) talking good
But there's nobody home
And I'm breathing it in
But I'm sure that
I've heard it before somewhere
I'm alive with the need and you
Welcome to this exhibition
'Cos I'm feeding on me
And there's far too many opinions here
Voices
Like whispering friends
Voices
Are calling again
Voices
No-one can see
Voices
Are welcome to me
And I've been here once before
I don't know why I'm here
But I'm going to take what I can
I don't know who to fight
I can't run so I'm turning on you again
I think I need a friend
I need someone inside with the news
I think I need to sleep
Now and maybe forever
