Paul Goodwin strikes again with this fantastic read, full of quotes from artists that have played with Gary, and other top artists. The book also contains some original artwork also images of Gary and album artwork. Covering songs from 1978 up until Intruder, with lots of insights and quotes relating to each track. And at £4.99 it’s an Absolute bargain, I would highly recommend this book to any Gary Numan fan.
I personally love some the quotes from other top artists and insights from past band members.
Gary Numan released his first record in 1978 as part of the band Tubeway Army.
A year later, with both “Are “Friends” Electric? And “Cars” topping the British singles chart, Gary Numan became the world first synthesiser pop megastar.
45 years later and with a huge music catalogue behind him Gary Numan continues to evolve his unique musical style.
Gary Numan Essentials gathers together what are arguably 50 of Numan’s most iconic and celebrated songs.
With complimentary commentary coming from artists as diverse as the late David Bowie, Lady Ga Ga and Ozzy Osbourneit’s no wonder Gary Numan is now recognised as the godfather of synth rock.
