Fragment 1-04 was filmed at the Birmingham Academy in September 2004. The initial idea behind the Fragment series was to create DVD's that were of a lower quality more 'bootleg' nature. This idea was abandoned and the Fragment series has been filmed with the same quality and attention to detail as the highly successful Hope Bleeds DVD which was released in 2004, including extra interview footage.
