One song on the album featured Gary Numan. Called "Change your Mind", it became a top 20 hit and also heralded the start of a successful collaboration with Gary under the name of "Sharpe and Numan". Change Your Mind got to No 17 in the UK charts..
Change Your Mind
Lyrics
Change Your Mind
(Single, 1985 - also on 'Automatic' album, 1989)
Why don't you ever listen
It's you I'm talking to
This time it's your decision
We're into something new
I know that I'm sinking
Though any fool can see
Time that I was thinking
Of no-one else but me
Change your mind
Nothing ever stays the same
Change your mind
No-one ever plays the game
Change your mind
Give up what you can't defend
Change your mind
Rip it up and start again
Why can't you reconsider
Listen if you care
Take from me the giver
Reject me if you dare
Give me what I'm asking
And save it all for me
A love that's everlasting
Is how it's meant to be
Change your mind
Nothing ever stays the same
Change your mind
No-one ever plays the game
Change your mind
Give up what you can't defend
Change your mind
Rip it up and start again
