25/08/25

Once again The Saint of RETROPOPIC RADIO and Chris Fielding of the Gary Numan endorsed tribute band 'Tubeway Days' talk about a Gary Numan solo album and this time it's the turn of 'Warriors' his 1983 release!

Refusing a producer on his previous album why did he allow Bill Nelson to help him here on 'Warriors'? What does Chris think of that new Gary Numan image for 'Warriors'? How was Gary now under pressure with his record company 'Beggars Banquet'? Why does Joe Hubbard replace Pino Pallodino on bass for this album? What are Chris's thoughts on Dick Morrissey's sax on this album? Which track is Gary's favourite song on the album? What event inspired Gary's lyrics for 'My Centurion'? For Chris was 'Sister Surprise' a good choice for a single? Although it doesn't chart as high as 'I Assassin' why did this album sell more copies than that release? Finally how does Chris overview 'Warriors'?

Part 1/2 of the August video Q&A is now up on Gary,s Ghost Nation (Patreon) page.
